I remember when Duane called me up, said he was sick of waiting for the singer’s schedule to open up, said let’s record this thing (he’d sent us the music a couple years prior). I think this call was in 2016 or so. I flew down to Nashville where Stanier had just been recording his tracks. I plugged into a DI which was plugged into a laptop in the storage space of our engineer Paul Allen. Did all my tracks in a day and a half. Then we waited, and waited. What a weird way to make a record. That said, I think everyone did a fine job top to bottom
