From a Sun Ra lecture in Berkeley, 1971: “…a person can reflect on something; they’re thinking about it. Reflection moves on over into image. All these things affect people. It doesn’t matter whether you know about them or not. It’s just like if you’re out on the lake and somebody throws a large stone in the lake. It doesn’t matter whether you know about it or not, it’s gonna affect the boat you’re in. It’ll do something to the lake. Now, conviction, idea, impression, reflection, image, knowledge. Idea is a thought, too……”
